Its actually really easy, and kind of cool to have the Gold Google Chrome application icon on your computer instead of the regular multi-colored one.
I, for one, use Google Chrome as my primary browser on pretty much computer I use now.

Here’s how to enable to secret Gold Google Chrome icon.
Right Click on your Google Chrome browser application icon and left click on properties. 
Click on “Change Icon” and select the Gold Icon from the list of available icons.
Click “OK” and you’re done!
