Mozilla working on memory usage

Posted by: Andy on Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

There was a time that the Mozilla Firefox browser was a light-weight, speedy, alternative to Internet Explorer. Now, however it’s getting kinda bloated.

There are users who are still fanatical about the browser and it is still a good one for the most part, however there are memory issues that are keeping it from people’s screens.

Mozilla has recognised the issue and has said that it’s not really a problem, just the way that the prowser is built to upen web pages really fast.  Will we have to sacrifice computer performance for surfing speed?

The problem is REALLY bad on the new Ubuntu 7.10–using firefox feels like playing a network game of Quake 1 over a modem.

Mozilla–get back to basics!
