Define: Linux
Linux is a Unix based operating system originally created by Linus Torvalds.
Linux was created because Linus was unhappy with other Unix operating systems available at the time. Naturally, if you’re not happy about it, make your own, right?
The Linux architecture was freely distribured so that other programmers can take the code and build upon it and hopefully improve it.
Millions of users the world over prefer using Linux to the more widely available Microsoft Windows Operating system because of the ability to customize it and it’s stability.
Linux and Unix is pretty much the industry standard for Web hosting Providers because it is more stable and less expensive than Windows based systems.
