Pittsburghers Text to check your PAT Bus times
Ever on the cutting edge, Pittsburgh’s Port Authority is testing RouteShout.com, giving PAT riders the ability to check bus arrival times via text right at the bus stop.
Simply look for the orange sign and send a text to the code. In theory you’ll get a text back telling you when the next bus is scheduled at that stop.
Currently installed at 22 bus stops around the city thousands of riders have already tried out the system.
RouteShout.com comes out of a local company, DeepLocal and is just one of a number of applications built on their mobile platform.
