Define: LAN
LAN - Local Area Network.
A LAN is a group of computers, or network devices in the same local vicinity that are connected together.
Define: KBps
KBps (note the upper case B) - KilyBytes per second.
A kilobyte is a measure of date. 1 kilobyte is equal to 1,024 bytes. A byte is (also called an octet) contains 8 bits.
Define: Kbps
Kbps - Kilobits per second.
Kbps is a measure of data flow. A kilobit is equal to 1000 bits of data.
A bit is a single numeric value that makes up data. A bit is either a "1" or a "0"
Define: HDD
HDD - Hard Disk Drive
Hard Disk Drives come in a wide range of capacities. A Hard Disk Drive is the component inside (or outside if you have an external HDD) that stores your data and probably your operating system.
Define: GHZ
GHZ - Gigahertz (in computer terms) is a measure of computer speed. The higher the number of gigahertz the faster the computer (in theory).
