Jackson Fish Market is a company started by a few individuals after leaving Microsoft. They claim to create “Hand Crafted Software Experiences”.
Their first launch is a site named “They’re Beautiful!”. According to Jackson Fish Market:
“They’re Beautiful!â„¢ is a lovingly detailed virtual flower delivery service. As with online greeting card services, users are encouraged to send greetings to their loved ones. However, instead of sending a card, the person sends a one-of-a-kind bouquet of flowers that the recipient can keep “alive†through attentive care.”
They’re right too! it’s a beautiful, simple, effective site. You don’t even have to register to send flowers, which is novel on a lot of sites these days.
Upon reciept of their virtual flowers a user can store them in a virtual greenhouse and stop back from time to time to water them. Apparently the flowers will die if you don’t take care of them.
Another cool feature is the ability to embed your flowers into your own site, blog, etc. etc.
