There used to be tons of these online back in the day. I guess there are still a lot around and I wonder how many are still active or have been left to fend for themselves.
I’m talking about web directories. Those sites who list your site in a category for a small price or even for free.
Directories used to be a good way to show something of a site reputation (some even manually checked prospective links) and to gain exposure.
Is there any room for Web directories in the Internet today?
