Announced today: Google gives the iPhone Contacts and Calendar a sync with Google!
This is exciting stuff because it’s been a long time coming and what we’ve had to use up to now has been…we…. jenk.
It’s funny though, we’re using a Microsoft application option to sync Google data on an Apple Device (isn’t it good that we can all play together?)
Anyway, the steps are really easy, it’s just a case of adding a new account to your iPhone and putting in some names and settings.
I gave it a shot and found my contacts and calendar synced right away.
Nicely done too! unlike the iTunes sync I’m not getting every single contact ever, only the ones I’m supposed to.
iTunes even knows not to sync the contacts after you change your iPhone settings.
