Recover your Gmail password via Text?

I’m really not sure how much of a good idea this really is or really how helpful it is but Google has added a new option to their password recovery settings.

Now, when you forget your password you can have a password reset code sent to your mobile phone in the form of a text message.

Yes, it’s good to have recovery options but too many options lead to additional breaches on security. Don’t they?
