SDLC Partners L.P. is pleased to announce that Tom Tabor, recently retired Senior VP and CIO of the Corporate Information Services Group for Highmark Inc. and Pittsburgh Technology Council’s 2006 CIO of the Year winner, has joined the leadership team in the role of Healthcare and Technology Advisor. In this newly-created role, Tom will work closely with the firm’s principal partners and leadership team to refine and grow the company’s healthcare offerings for both payers and providers.
SDLC’s three principal partners—Chris Simchick, Scott Barnyak, and Christy Maruca—have had a professional relationship with Mr. Tabor for more than 10 years and are excited about his decision to join the company.
“The SDLC management team is very pleased to welcome Tom and his experience to our company,” says Chris Simchick. “His addition enhances our strategic capability and should accelerate our growth in the healthcare sector.”
Mr. Barnyak agrees. “Tom’s healthcare industry knowledge and experience leading the technology organization for one of the largest Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans in the country provides a unique dimension to our leadership team as we continue to grow our firm.”
Throughout his extensive career, Tom has demonstrated the ability to effectively lead and build an IT organization that has supported the increasing demands of the healthcare insurance industry. His blend of business and technology experience fits well with SDLC’s culture and approach to working with both business and I.T. as the “execution partner of choice” to improve speed to market, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
