In my pocket, you’ll find a pen. I always carry a pen. Someone often needs a pen, and I have one ready. I’m good like that.
I thought I’d take a look at the Minzos 4-in-1 TurboPen.
It’s a pen (of course), a tablet/phone stylus, a flashlight, and a laser pointer.
You’d expect a pen with these features to be rather bulky – it’s not.
Really, it’s just… well…. normal pen-sized.
There are two buttons near the top. One for the laser pointer, and another for the flashlight.
The pointer is as you’d expect a pointer to be – a red laser dot. It works on a variety of surfaces from a variety of distances.
The LED flashlight is nice – I found myself using it a few times when rooting around under desks and in wiring closets. It’s easier than pulling out my Phone or Multitool.
The pen writes nicely. It’s point is under the stylus cap.
I did try out the stylus a couple of times on my iPhone 6+. It does what any stylus is supposed to do.
The pen is a stylish silver and generally looks rather unassuming.
At around $10, it’s not the least expensive pen you’ll buy, but it makes for a great gift ig you’re into gadgets like I am.
It’s not at a price point where you’ll worry too much about.
My only comment/concern? When using the pen, I’m used to clipping the pen cap onto the top of the pen. You can’t with this one because the top is where the flashlight and pointer are housed.
You really need the cap, too. Yes, it’s the pen cap, but it’s the stylus, too. A small issue, but an issue nonetheless.
