Join the Pittsburgh Technology Council and Carnegie Science Center on Friday, May 6, for a special event featuring Anousheh Ansari, first female private space explorer; CEO, Chairman and Co-Founder of Prodea Systems; and Founder of the Ansari X Prize.
When Anousheh Ansari became the first female private space explorer in 2009 — as well as the first Iranian astronaut — she proved that the sky is the limit for anyone. Ansari’s love for space exploration led to the creation of the Ansari X Prize, an award designed to spur spaceflight innovation in the private sector, and led to the successful launch of a reusable manned spacecraft. The Ansari X Prize has now expanded into encouraging innovations within genomics, the automotive industry and technology for lunar missions.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from this world-renowned technologist and space adventurer!
