Cheetah Technologies, a carrier class, systems management solutions developer for broadband service providers, has announced that its Senior Vice President Jeremy Bennington has joined the board of directors of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). ATIS is a leading standards development and technical planning organization committed to rapidly developing and promoting technical and operations standards for the information, entertainment and communications industries. From efforts to realize the cost benefits of cloud services, to standards underpinning the nation’s emergency communications system, to improvements in data access to support health care delivery, or developing new avenues to interactive sources of entertainment, ATIS’ work makes ICT innovation possible.
Bennington is the principle strategy leader for Cheetah Technologies and serves as a video quality of experience (QoE) evangelist and strategy leader for Cheetah. “Cheetah Technologies is very excited to work within ATIS and other standards bodies to promote the importance of video quality,” said Steve John, President and CEO, Cheetah Technologies. “As a premiere video monitoring solution within CATV, TelcoTV and DBS, we are enthused to share our knowledge to promote advancements in video technology and service delivery.”
“I am honored to take part in the important work ATIS is responsible for within the industry,” said Bennington. “Video has become a critical service for all communications service providers. The need to ensure common architectures, interoperability and quality mechanisms is vital to future growth. At Cheetah, we provide a critical viewpoint into the standards development that will continue to define video services now and in the future, which in turn plays well into the work that ATIS does.”
“We are pleased to welcome Jeremy to the ATIS board, and appreciate Cheetah Technologies’ contributions to the ATIS IPTV Interoperability Forum, recognized globally as the leading developer of requirements, standards and specifications for IPTV,” said Susan M. Miller, ATIS President and CEO. “As a board member, Jeremy plays a strategic role in guiding ATIS’ work to develop the standards and solutions that are creating the future of the ICT industry.”
