Many of the features within Snapchat Stories and Instagram Stories work on a similar basis. They have a familiar system where videos last 10 seconds before disappearing and your story is available for a 24-hour period. You can share stories of your day amongst friends on both platforms and it’s a great way of keeping in touch with people and having fun.
There are some differences between them but both are extremely popular. Facebook tried to buy Snapchat in 2013 and they have had their own failed clones, attempting to compete with Snapchat, called Poke & Slingshot. Many now believe that Instagram has a wider reach, thanks in part to its parent company Facebook.
The truth is that both versions are of a very high standard and it’s hard to decide definitively which is better. Check out this infographic from One Productions for more information on the key differences between Snapchat Stores & Instagram Stories.
